- A wireless network interface controller (WNIC) is a network card which connects to a radio-based computer network, unlike a regular network interface controller (NIC) which connects to a wire-based network such as token ring or ethernet.
- A wireless adapter is a device that allows your computer to communicate with a Sky Broadband box without using cables. If a computer is not wireless enabled, either a card that fits into the machine or an external USB device, such as the Sky wireless adapter, will provide this functionality.
- Airlink was an airline based in Madang, Papua New Guinea that ceased operations in late July 2007. It provided high-frequency scheduled and charter services to outlying regions of Papua New Guinea.
- Universal serial bus, a connection technology for attaching peripheral devices to a computer, providing fast data exchange
- Universal Serial Bus (USB) is a specification to establish communication between devices and a host controller (usually personal computers), developed and invented by Ajay Bhatt while working for Intel. USB is intended to replace many varieties of serial and parallel ports.
- Stands for Universal Serial Bus. Is a method of connecting devices to a computer. Most smartphones now use microUSB cables to charge and sync.
- The Universal Serial Bus is probably going to replace the serial and parallel interfaces. USB enables the effortless connection of peripheral devices without the need to install cards into the computer or reconfigure parts of the operating system.
AIRLINK | BAe 146-200 | ZS-PUZ
Airlink Express - colour edit.
Lothian Buses 'Airlink Express' bus (or number 100) interior.
This is the colour version of a photograph I previously uploaded in black and white. I thought the black and white version was nicer as the tones are lovely but seeing as the colours in the number 100 are so interesting I thought I should show this one as well.

CHEAP WIRELESS ANTENNA. N WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY.
Cheap Wireless Antenna

- having no wires; "a wireless security system"
- Either of a pair of long, thin sensory appendages on the heads of insects, crustaceans, and some other arthropods
- The faculty of instinctively detecting and interpreting subtle signs
- A rod, wire, or other device used to transmit or receive radio or television signals
- sensitivity similar to that of a receptor organ; "he had a special antenna for public relations"
- one of a pair of mobile appendages on the head of e.g. insects and crustaceans; typically sensitive to touch and taste
- an electrical device that sends or receives radio or television signals
- (of prices or other charges) Low
- (of an item for sale) Low in price; worth more than its cost
- relatively low in price or charging low prices; "it would have been cheap at twice the price"; "inexpensive family restaurants"

Meteors over Angatuba - One half wavelength antenna
Experiment with a End fed half wavelength antenna
in detection of meteors. I don''t use any coaxial cable. The floor is moistured to increase ground conductivity. The antenna is low in height to change the radiation pattern to a better vertical (Zenith) lobe. These dipole is tunned by an variable capacitor. There are two main objective in this experiment. The first is to eliminate electric noise captation only by rotating in the horizontal plane for the better position of dipole and the second motif is to study the direction of sky that arrive some meteors. Please see the Icom R-10 receiver. Beside the antenna there are't any other external conexion with the receiver. For audio captation I improve using outside the radio a surpplus relay coil keep only near the loudspeaker. The signal then goes through a shielded cable to the tape recorder. Unfortunely I stopped the listenings because a internal flat cable damage the receiver. Escuse me the disorder but the experiment works well.
Color Holga- Marconi Station Hotel (Side)
Shot with a cheap
$25 Holga. I'm intentionally sloppy when I load in order to encourage these happy accidents. I like the #4 coming through in the lower right. This compound was built by Guglielmo Marconi in 1914 for transatlantic communication as competition for the undersea cables that were expensive and difficult to maintain. A number of brick structures were erected to house the station and operating personnel. One building served as office and operations center, several cottages were designated for men with families, and this hotel provided bachelors quarters. Six towers approximately 400’ tall stretching about one mile were built for the antenna and dominated the skyline for miles around. The station was automated in 1993, abandoned in 1995, and donated to the town of Chatham in 1999.

Compare Wireless Phone Providers
- A wireless phone works much like a cordless phone but connects through a PSTN (public switched telephony network) instead of a POTS line (plain old telephone service or regular telephone lines). Security is the guaranteed feature with wireless phones.
- A mobile phone (also called mobile, cellular phone, cell phone or handphone) is an electronic device used for full duplex two-way radio telecommunications over a cellular network of base stations known as cell sites.

252/365 let's go to the mall (today)
I joined Instagram on Friday, finally deciding it might be fun/useful for the Europe trip, especially if I can find wireless connection
s for my phone now and then. My first upload was completely by accident; I was playing with the program at the hair salon and didn't know how to delete
my shot once I suddenly uploaded it. Anyway, my first on-purpose upload to Instagram was a different version of this picture, without the random person looking over from above. The ceiling at the San Francisco Centre mall just calls out for Instagram-ing.

MOBILE WIRELESS WIFI : WIRELESS INTERNET PROGRAM : LENOVO T60 WIRELESS PROBLEM.
Mobile Wireless Wifi
- wireless telephony which allows for the movement of end-user equipment. Mobile wireless networks are set up as a grouping of base stations, each with its own coverage "cell." It is this concept that gave rise to the term "cellular phone."
- Service that is broadcasted via a cellular signal to a mobile receiver.
- Used for mobile phones (also known as cell phones), a network technology where a provider's fixed antennas communicate with customers' mobile antennas on devices that can travel from one antenna's range into another's seamlessly (see also fixed wireless and nomadic wireless).
- WIFI (1460 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a brokered format. Licensed to Florence, New Jersey, USA. The station is currently operated by Florence Broadcasting Partners, LLC.
- wireless local area network: a local area network that uses high frequency radio signals to transmit and receive data over distances of a few hundred feet; uses ethernet protocol
- Wi-Fi is a trademark of the Wi-Fi Alliance that manufacturers may use to brand certified products that belong to a class of wireless local area network (WLAN) devices based on the IEEE 802.11 standards. 802.11 the most widely used WLAN technology.
